Hello beautiful soul, how are you?
I have been thinking how to keep in touch with you more creatively then just keep sending you invitations to the various things I do(frankly I find it a bit tedious and repetitive...and you must do too!) so I thought maybe I could start this little monthly blog/newsletter and share not only invitations but also some of my thoughts, visual observations and creative musings.
And so here it is...
Today is 4th December, a very special day for me as it is my wee son's birthday...my little Robin bird is 7 years old! I often pause and reflect at times like this as it really does feel like yesterday when I brought him home as a tiny bundle of joy.
Time really does fly and talking about time flying can you believe it’s December already?
I have a very conflicted relationship with this time of the year. On one side I absolutely adore it. I love the contrasts of this season…the darkness illuminated by the twinkling lights, the feeling of cosiness in my woolly scarves and mittens against the crisp freezing air on my skin and the anticipation of Christmas and the jolly atmosphere in the air.
…yet this anticipation also has a down side and that is the stressful and hectic feeling of all of those things that needs to be done and organized and people to see, things to buy, worries about how much it's all going to cost…and it can all get a bit too much.
We get sucked in to the pre festive frenzy and as it becomes pressured and stressful all the magic, warmth and joy disappear with it. We run out of time and energy to enjoy the season that is meant to be filled with peace and joy…
Every year I promise myself I will do it differently and while I am slowly learning to get better at slowing down and enjoy the present moment and things in life that really matter. This time of the year I have mostly failed so far.
Wintertime is the time of the year when our bodies are least capable to cope with all the stress and business the festive season can bring… because it’s dark and cold and our bodies are naturally wired to slow down like the rest of the living things in nature. By putting pressure on our bodies and minds to always keep going it is no wonder we feel exhausted and stressed.
So this year I have a mission not to let myself be sucked into the hectic pre festive frenzy and enjoy the festive season with peace in my mind, body and heart by slowing down and be present and conscious with everything I do.
And I invite you to do it along with me. Let us be more conscious with what we do on daily basis. Think about what really does matters and what does not. What really needs to be done and what does not. What we really need to have or get and what we do not. Let us be mindful.
And so, to the invitation…I will be holding two events before the year is out…and if you feel like you need a little help to slow down, pause and reflect or just to simple grab some time to yourself and rest and be still, I would like to warmly invite you to come along.
Full Moon Sound Bath Meditation – Sunday 15th December 7.-8.30pm
This is the last full moon of the year 2024 and it gives us an opportunity to emotionally and mentally let go of anything that no longer serves in in our life and as the moon wanes we start to work consciously and put things in motion to let go and change our lives.

Winter Solstice Sound Bath Meditation – Friday 20th December, 7pm-8.30pm
At this magical time of the year when the solar wheel cycle momentarily pauses, we also pause and sit in our inner and outer darkness and reflect on the year that has passed and set new intentions for the one that is about to begin. And as the newborn sun rises to start it's yearly cycle across the sky so will we here on Earth..
At the beginning of the sound bath I will share with you a beautiful ancient winter solstice story and we will conclude the evening with writing down our personal dreams and aspiration we hope to manifest in the next solar cycle, the upcoming year 2025!

I hope to see some of you soon and if I don’t see you, I wish you a very beautiful, joyful and peaceful Christmas and Hogmanay.
Warm wishes
