Phase 1   -  Sea Memories

The aim of the workshop was to engage with the exhibition Oceans  by the artist Tania Kovats,  Oceans trough reminiscence and one’s personal experience of the sea.  This could be cultural, visual or sensory. Inspired by the exhibition the participants were encouraged to make simple drawings and marks or collages that capture personal memories of the sea and coastline.

Phase 2 - Water Art
Building on the initial experience of the exhibition and further developing and exploring the themes of oceans, water and the landscape formed by them the second workshop focused on the sensory and material experience of the element of water exploring its potential as a creative material.
