BUTLEY MILLS ART STUDIOS RESIDENCY

 

Butley Marshes, Suffolk, England, August, 2007

During the two week residency at the studios and roamed the marshes, absorbed the creative environment of the studios and observed the nature around me (I wittnessed an asteroid shower which was an amazing spectacle over the dark marshes unspopilt by any other light). I tried to respond intuitively to my environment. I also spent hours observing landscape and everchanging skies through the lenses of camera obscura that was installed in one of the barns. The residency resulted in creation of three works.
